== 개요 ==
[[Forever Young]]과 같은 해에 발매된 독일의 밴드인 알파빌(Alphaville)의 [[신스팝]] 음악이다. 1984년에 발매되었다. 1984년 12월 빌보드 핫 댄스 클럽 플레이에 1위에 올랐으며 여러 유럽 국가의 음악 차트 상위권에도 올랐다.

== 상세 ==
노래제목인 'Big in Japan'은 북미나 유럽 등의 서구권 출신 아티스트이나, 본고장인 서구권 시장에는 인지도가 없으면서 [[일본]]에서만 유명한 아티스트를 뜻하는 속어이다. 동명의 영국 밴드에서 따온 제목이라고 한다.

가사의 내용은 [[베를린 동물원역]]의 마약중독자들과 마약이 없는곳에서 성공해서 잘나가고 싶다는 환상을 가진 연인들에 대한 이야기를 담고 있다.
