방탄소년단 뷔가 9월 8일 첫 솔로 앨범 <Layover>를 발매했다. 그동안 방탄소년단 앨범에 수록된 솔로곡과 무료 음원 형태로 공개한 자작곡, 드라마 OST 등 다양한 방식으로 음악적 역량을 드러낸 바 있으나 자신의 이름을 내건 솔로 앨범은 이번이 처음이다. 뷔는 자신의 감성을 극대화할 수 있는 앨범을 만들고자 했고, 지금까지와 다른, 뷔의 '새로움'에 초점을 맞춰 <Layover>를 완성했다. 

<Layover>는 팝 R&B 장르 기반에 뷔가 가진 특색과 감성이 융합된 앨범이다. 타이틀곡 'Slow Dancing'을 비롯해 'Rainy Days', 'Blue', 'Love Me Again', 'For Us', 보너스 트랙인 'Slow Dancing (Piano Ver.)' 등 총 6곡이 수록됐다. 뷔의 제안으로 어도어(ADOR) 민희진 총괄 프로듀서가 앨범 제작 전반을 진두지휘했다. 민희진 총괄 프로듀서는 화려함 이면의 담백함에 주목했고, 있는 그대로 자연스러운 뷔의 매력을 음악에도 고스란히 녹여냈다. 이로써 뷔가 가진 음색과 본연의 색깔로 채워진, 그야말로 '뷔' 그 자체에 집중한 앨범이 탄생했다. 앨범 발매에 앞서 공개된 콘셉트 포토 역시 꾸미지 않은 뷔의 일상의 다양한 순간을 포착했고, 5편의 뮤직비디오도 곡의 분위기와 뷔의 목소리가 중심이 된다.

 * 2023년 9월 6일 [[유 퀴즈 온 더 블럭|유퀴즈]]에서 타이틀곡 'Slow Dancing'의 안무는 [[프리스타일]]이며, 뷔 본인뿐만 아니라 댄서들까지 매 무대마다 안무가 다를 것이라고 밝혔다.[* 이를 위해 몇 달 전부터 [[코레오그래피]] 댄서들이 아닌, [[스트릿댄스]] 배틀러들과 계속 연습하면서 [[힙합(스트릿댄스)|스트릿 힙합]]을 기본기부터 배웠다.] 또한 [[정국(방탄소년단)|정국]]의 집에서 [[가이드 보컬|가이드]] [[녹음]] 진행을 정국이 도왔다고.

 * 2023년 9월 8일 [[네이버]] [[프로필]]에 반려동물 강아지 '김연탄(포메라니안)'이 추가됐으며, 클릭하면 '[[Layover#Slow Dancing|Slow Dancing]]' 뮤비가 재생된다. 앞서 8월 11일 [[위버스]] 라이브에서 연탄이의 네이버 프로필 등록을 회사에 부탁했다고 밝혔다.
