포르투나에서 볼 수 있는 NPC. 키트건과 키트건 전용 아케인을 판매한다.

2. 배경[편집]

그녀의 본명은 "주드 GS-44"지만 그보다는 루드 주드[1]라는 이름으로 더 알려져있다. 과거 솔라리스들의 저항단체인 솔라리스 연합이 발족되어 활동하던 시절, 주드는 한 세트의 감각 기관을 공유하던 그녀의 다섯 자매들과 함께 12번 덱에서 생활하고 있었다. 그러던 어느 날 네프 엔요는 솔라리스 연합의 리더 '복스 솔라리스'를 찾아 죽이고 연합 구성원들을 박멸하기 위해 12번 덱을 무자비하게 진압하였고, 이 "12번 덱 사건"에 의해 주드의 다섯 자매는 목숨을 잃게 된다. 당시 자리에 없었던 주드는 목숨을 건질 수 있었으나, 자매 모두가 죽은 충격으로 무너져내리며 자신의 자매들에 대한 기억을 잃어버리고 지금의 신경질적인 성격이 되어버린다.

12번 덱에서의 비극 후 주드는 환청[2]을 듣게 되는데 주드는 환청에게 "시끌이"(Chatter)라는 이름을 붙여주고 시끌이와 혼자서 대화를 주고받는 모습을 보인다. 그리고 자매들에 대한 기억을 잃었지만 아직도 환각으로 불에 그슬린 자매들의 모습을 보기도 한다. 주드는 자매들에 대한 기억을 잃었기 때문에 예전에 본적 있는 얼굴 정도로만 생각하고, 알 수 없는 찝찝한 느낌 때문에 짜증을 내는 정도다. 비즈니스는 주드의 그런 모습을 안타까워하며 주드에게 이제 자매들의 죽음과 "12번 덱 사건"을 받아들여야 한다고 말하지만, 주드는 반사적으로 비즈니스의 말을 부정할 뿐이었다. 그리고 솔라리스 연합의 지도자였던 유디코는 그런 주드의 모습을 보며 죄책감을 느끼고 있다.

3. 베리드 뎁트[편집]

텐노는 오브 협곡에서 정체를 알 수 없는 데이터 해쉬들을 발견한다. 유디코는 데이터의 비밀을 풀기 위해 주드에게 협조를 요청한다. 주드가 데이터를 보자, 처음에는 쓰레기라며 아무 의미도 없다고 하였지만, 곧이어 시끌이와 대화를 하더니 마지못해 협력하기로 한다. 계속해서 텐노가 데이터들을 모아오자, 주드-시끌이는 데이터가 일종의 암호라는 사실을 밝힌다. 하지만 텐노가 데이터를 모아올 수록, 이 일에서 빠지기를 원하는 주드와 계속해서 암호를 해독하고자 하는 시끌이와의 갈등이 심해진다. 마침내 텐노는 모든 데이터를 모으게 되고 유디코는 주드에게 암호의 용도를 물어본다.

넌 집에 돌아갈 수 없어. 우리 모두 돌아가선 안 돼.

주드의 분열은 더 심해졌고 유디코의 물음에 수수께끼 같은 말을 하기 시작한다. 주드의 대답을 들은 유디코는 그녀가 말하는 "집"이 과거, 자신들의 삶의 터전이었던 12번 덱을 가리킨다는 것을 알아차리게 되고, 텐노에게 12번 덱의 입구가 있는 하란디 분화구의 동굴을 조사해볼 것을 요청한다.

시끌이... 시끌이가 반드시 거길 들어가야 한대.. 그 문... 그 문턱을 넘어서.. 으아아아! 싫어!

그 말들이... 이 문을 여는 열쇠야... 이 문은... 문 너머엔... 아아아안돼. 안돼. 우릴 기다려. 받아낼 길이 없는 빚이. 받아내기엔... 우리가 너무 작고 약한 빚이...

텐노가 12번 덱의 입구에 도착하자, 주드의 분열은 더 심해진다. 유디코는 그런 주드를 보며 씁쓸함을 느끼는 한편, 데이터 해쉬들의 글자들을 조합하는 것이 12번 덱의 열쇠가 될 것이라고 말한다.[스포일러]

결국 문을 열고 들어간 텐노, 유디코와 함께 그녀는 12번 덱과 다시 마주하게 된다. 주드는 언니들의 목소리가 기억난다고 말하며 네프가 12번 덱에 바로 써미아를 파열시켜 모두를 몰살시킨 것을 떠올린 후, 자매들과 마지막으로 만들어 낸 써미아 응축기를 보여주며 써미아를 보고는 써미아의 불안정성으로 자신들의 원수인 익스플로이터 오브[3]의 방어를 무너뜨릴 수 있을 것이라 생각하면서 어째서 자신은 자매들의 이름이 기억나지 않는 거냐며 혼란에 빠진다.

이후 12번 덱의 써미아 응축기가 가동된 것을 알아챈 익스플로이터 오브가 12번 덱으로 출격해 오고, 주드는 익스플로이터를 보며 네가 받아야 할 빚을 받으라고 도발하며 텐노에게 익스플로이터 오브의 환기구를 노리라고 말해준다. 익스플로이터가 적반하장으로 나오자, 그녀는 익스플로이터 오브에게 처절하게 내 자매들의 이름을 말해 보라고 절규하며 텐노를 보며 놈에게 가족이 죽는다는 것이 어떤 기분인지 알게 해달라고 말한다. 텐노는 익스플로이터를 과열시켜 처치하는 것에 성공하고, 주드는 이제 원한을 갚았다며 자매들의 이름은 물론[4] 자매들에 대한 모든 기억을 완전히 되찾고, 동시에 시끌이가 죽었던 자신의 자매들임을 알아챈다. 아무래도 같은 감각기관을 공유한다는 점을 이용해 정신만은 어떻게든 살아남은듯. 주드는 모두와 시끌이에게 감사를 표하면서도 그렇다고 앞으로도 지금처럼 다정다감하게 대해줄꺼라고 기대하진 말라고 한다.
