Frank Ocean의 전애인으로도 유명한 Omar Apollo는  2022년에 Ivory 앨범으로 긍정적인 평가를 받으면서 성공가도를 달리고 있다. 
65회 그래미 어워드에 노미네이트 되었다. 주로 영어와 스페인어를 섞어 쓰는 몽환적인 분위기가 특징이다. 


== 커리어 ==
맥시코 출신 부모님사이에서 태어나 인디애나에서 3명의 형제들을 두고 자랐다. 
가족들은 아폴로에게 언제나 지원을 아끼지 않았다고한다. 어릴 때 발레를 했으며, 성가대 출신이다. 12살에 선물받은 기타를
꾸준히 연주하여 유튜브에 커버영상을 올리던 것이 그의 자그마한 시작이었다.

사운드 클라우드에서 인기를 얻기 시작했고, 2017년에 친구에게 돈을 빌려 싱글인 "ugotme"를 
발매하여 좋은 반응을 얻기 시작한다. 

2018년에 EP를 발매한 것도 좋은 성적을 얻었다.
2019년엔 Lollapalooza 에 참가하며 차근차근 인지도를 올려갔다.
이후 Kenny Beats 와 작업한 "Frio"와 "Hit Me Up" 을 발매했다.

공개적으로 게이임을 밝히고 있다. 처음에는 게이인척 팬층 확보하는 것이 아니냐는 의혹이 있었지만 이내 잠잠해졌다.
2022년 인터뷰에서 그는  "처음에는 신비함을 유지하려고 노력했지. 하지만 이젠 신경 안 써. 
난 그냥, 난 아주 게이야" (i'm very gay)
