== 개요 ==
Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark

영국의 [[신스팝]]/[[뉴웨이브(음악)|뉴 웨이브]] 밴드. 위럴 반도 몰즈 출신이다. 밴드명은 '어둠 속에서 오케스트라 예행연습'라는 뜻을 가지고 있다. 펑크 밴드가 아니라는걸 보여주기 위해 이런 이름을 지었다고. OMD라는 약자로도 많이 불린다.

위럴 반도가 [[리버풀]] 바로 옆에 붙어있는 동네인지라 초창기엔 [[리버풀]] 씬과 연관이 많았다. [[에코 앤 더 버니멘]]과 [[티어드롭 익스플로전]] 영향을 받은 밴드기도 했다.

그들의 대표곡인 Enola Gay는 [[히로시마·나가사키 원자폭탄 투하|히로시마와 나가사키에 핵폭탄을 투하한]] 폭격기에서 이름을 따왔는데, 그 당시 반전쟁 시위곡으로도 쓰이기도 하였다. [[http://ouii.egloos.com/10078255|참고 인터뷰]] 이 노래는 2012 런던 올림픽 개막식에 등장하기도 하였다.
