>철벽 기병은 17세기 영국 대내란 중 올리버 크롬웰이 결성했습니다. 이들은 전통적인 화승총으로 무장했으며, 이는 서부 유럽의 기병에게 흔했습니다. 더 가벼운 장갑 기병으로서 이들은 군수품과 호송과 징발대를 호위함으로써 군전쟁에서 포위 작전에서 중요한 역할을 했습니다. 철벽 기병의 경우 말굴레 쪽 팔은 말을 통제하기 위해 필요했기 때문에, 왼쪽 팔로 검을 꺼내야 했고, 말 위에서 검을 쓰려면 훈련이 필요했습니다. 기병의 말은 귀의 일부를 잃는 경우가 많아서 쉽게 알아볼 수 있다고 전해집니다.

>The Ironside Cavalry were formed by Oliver Cromwell in the 17th century during the English Civil War. They were armored in the traditional harquebusier, which was common amongst cavalry in Western Europe. As a more lightly armored cavalry, they played an important role in siege warfare by escorting supply convoys and foraging parties.
