== 개요 ==

7편까지는 Blue Tea Games가, 8편부터는 Eipix Entertainment가 개발하는 [[히든 오브젝트 게임]] 시리즈.
스탠다드 에디션과 콜렉터스 에디션으로 나뉘는데, 본편 게임은 동일하나 콜렉터스 에디션은 보너스 게임을 플레이할 수 있으며 보너스 게임은 외전격의 스토리를 담고 있다.
PC, Mac OS, iOS, 안드로이드로 플레이 가능하고 한국어지원은 하지 않는다. [[Steam|스팀]]에서도 구매 가능하다.


== 스토리 ==
The Fairytale Detective, 즉 [[동화]] [[탐정]]인 주인공이 세계 각지, 혹은 가상의 국가에서 벌어지는 미스테리한 사건들을 파헤치는 컨셉이다. 히든 오브젝트 게임 답게 문제 해결의 난이도나 퍼즐의 난이도가 크게 어렵지 않고 엔딩의 분기점도 없으나[* 7편 제외] 스토리와 비주얼에 치중하고 있다.
각 게임의 메인 스토리는 동화를 재해석하고 각색하여 이루어진다. 한 게임이 하나의 사건을 다루기 때문에 이전 편을 플레이하지 않아도 큰 지장은 없으나 시리즈이기 때문에 연속적으로 등장하는 캐릭터들이 있으며 예전 편과 연계되는 서브스토리들이 존재하기도 한다.

== 기타 ==
 * 게임 내에서 아이템을 모아 Parables, 즉 이야기를 해금할 수 있는데 보통 게임의 테마가 된 동화나 게임 줄거리의 요약본이 등장한다. 때로 극중에서 설명이 나오지 않는 초월적 존재들의 이야기가 신화로 등장하기도 한다.
 * 8편부터 기존에 시리즈를 개발한 Blue Tea Games가 아닌 Eipix Entertainment가 이어서 개발을 담당하는데, 인터페이스도 조금 달라졌고 스토리와 퍼즐의 밸런스 역시 다르기 때문에 기존 시리즈 팬들 입장에서 호불호가 갈리고 있다.
