== 개요 ==
[[International Baccalaureate|IB]] 디플로마 역사 과목의 학습 과정과 평가 방식을 정리해 놓은 문서. IB에서 역사는 과목 특성상 방대한 토픽들이 존재하고, 몇 가지 토픽들만 골라서 공부하는 형식이다. 크게 'Prescribed Subjects', 'World History Topics', 'HL Options'로 나뉜다. 앞에 두 부분은 SL과 HL 모두 공부하고 HL은 옵션을 공부하는 형식이다. 또한 HL과 SL 모두 Internal Assessment (내부 평가)를 해야한다. 

*이 문서는 2017년부터 시행되는 개정 평가 기준으로 작성되었다. 

== External Assessment (외부 평가) ==
=== Prescribed Subjects (Paper 1) ===
말 그대로 IB에서 규정한 토픽들. 총 5개의 토픽으로 나눠지고 한개를 골라서 공부한다. 이 부분에서 공부한 내용들은 Paper 1에 나온다.
==== 토픽 ====
1. Military Leaders: 여기서는 [[칭기즈 칸]]과 영국의 [[리처드 1세]]에 대해 공부한다.
2. Conquest and its impact: 이 토픽은 13세기에서 16세기까지의 [[스페인]]의 아메리카 대륙 지배를 공부한다. 
3. The move to global war: 1931년부터 1941년까지 [[2차 세계 대전]]의 [[추축국]]들인 [[일본]], [[나치 독일|독일]], [[이탈리아]]의 팽창에 대해 공부한다.
4. Rights and protest: 1950~60년대의 미국 인권 운동과 [[아파르트헤이트]]를 다룬다.
5. Conflict and intervention: [[르완다]]와 [[코소보]]의 내전을 다룬다.

IB를 공부하는 3학기 [* 12학년 2학기는 제외]중에 주로 1학기 정도를 Prescribed Subjects를 공부하는 데 할애한다. 이 부분에서 공부하는 내용들은 IB에서 확실하게 학습 내용을 명시하고 있다. 따라서 교과서를 찾기 힘든 역사 과목 교과서들은 거의 Prescribed Subjects만 다루는 듯. Paper 1은 공부한 내용을 바탕으로 역사적 자료를 분석하는 시험이다. 

=== World History Topics (Paper 2) ===
여기는 다양한 세계사 토픽들을 공부하는 부분이다. 중세 역사에서 현대사까지 다양한 토픽들이 있다. IB에서 학습 내용을 확실하게 정해저 있는 Prescribed Subject에 비해 여기는 Syllabus가 느슨하게 되 있는 편. 가르치는 선생님의 재량에 맞춰서 공부하게 되며 SL의 경우 왜 역사가 어려운지 몸소 체험할 수 있는 곳. 총 12개의 토픽으로 나눠지며 2개 토픽을 골라서 총 2학기동안 공부한다. 

1. Society and economy (750–1400): 전반적인 중세 시대 [* 유럽 뿐만 아니라 전세계 범위로 공부한다. 예를 들면 11세기 북아프리카라던가 아메리칸 인디언이라던가 중국 송나라 같은 것들을 배운다] 사회에 대해 공부한다.
3. Causes and effects of medieval wars (750–1500): 중세 시대에 일어난 전쟁들에 대해서 심층도 있게 다룬다.
3. Dynasties and rulers (750–1500): 세계적으로 규모 있었던 제국들에 대해 공부한다.
4. Societies in transition (1400–1700): 중세 시대 이후의 사회 변화들에 대해 공부한다. 
5. Early Modern states (1450–1789): 근대 시대의 굵직한 나라들의 성립과 발전에 대해 공부한다.
6. Causes and effects of Early Modern wars (1500–1750): 근대 역사에 있던 전쟁들에 대해 공부한다. 예를 들면 30년 전쟁, 심지어 [[임진왜란]]도 공부할 수 있다.[* IB에서 추천하는 것에 따르면] ~~오오 이순신 오오~~
7. Origins, development and impact of industrialization (1750–2005): 18세기에서 21세기까지의 산업화 운동과 산업 발전에 대해 공부한다. 
8. Independence movements (1800–2000): 19~21세기의 식민지 시대의 독립 운동들에 대해 배운다. 
9. Evolution and development of democratic states (1848–2000): 근대에 설립된 민주주의 국가 (예를 들면 일본, 독일, 이탈리아,~~잠시만 얘내는 군국주의와 파시즘의 본보기인데~~ 말레이시아, 호주)
10. Authoritarian states (20th century): 20세기의 1인 독재 국가, 혹은 1당독재주의 국가에 대해 배운다. (예를 들면 독일, 이탈리아, 소련[별로 배우지 않는 듯..?], 중국, 일본)
11. Causes and effects of 20th-century wars: 20세기에 일어난 전쟁에 대해 공부한다.
12. The Cold War: Superpower tensions and rivalries (20th century): 말 그대로 냉전에 대해 공부한다.

이 부분에서 배운 내용을 바탕으로 보는 Paper 2에 대해 설명을 하자면, 1시간 30분안에 2개의 양질의 에세이를 써야 한다. 한 토픽당 2개의 질문이 주어지고 1개를 골라서 쓰면 된다. World History Topic은 2개 토픽을 공부하니까 배운 두 토픽에서 한개의 질문씩을 골라서 쓰면 된다. 

=== HL Options (Paper 3) ===
HL 전용. 여기는 한 대륙을 지정해서 좀더 세분화된 토픽에 대해서 공부한다. IB에서 지정한 4대륙 (아시아-오세아니아, 유럽, 중동-아프리카, 아메리카) 에서 하나의 대륙을 고르고, 한 대륙에 있는 18개의 토픽 중에 3개의 토픽을 3학기동안 공부한다 [* HL 수업시간에만 배운다]. 

극악의 난이도를 자랑한다. 실제로 공부하는 시간은 가장 적은데 전체 채점에서 차지하는 비율은 가장 ~~더럽게~~ 높다. 총 3개의 에세이를 쓰는데 2시간 30분이나 시간이 주어지는 게 아니라 2시간 30분 '밖에' 시간이 주어지지 않는다. --영문학이랑 시험날이 겹치면 다 쓰고 나서 팔이 느껴지지 않는 경험을 할 수 있다-- Paper 3는 대륙별로 시험지가 따로 있으며 시험지 안에는 18개의 토픽, 그리고 토픽마다 2개의 질문들이 있다. 정석은 공부한 3개 토픽에서 한 문제식 골라서 쓰는 거겠지만 Paper 3 한정으로 한 토픽의 모든 질문 (2개)를 써도 된다. == Internal Assessment (내부 평가) ==
역사의 IA는 'Historical Investigation'이라고 한다. 이것은 아무 역사적 사실을 스스로 조사하면서 하나의 결론에 다다르는 2000자짜리 보고서다. EE와 상당히 흡사하다. 꼭 수업에서 배우지 않았던 내용도 골라서 조사할 수 있다. 대신 자료를 잘 찾을 수 있고 자기가 잘 아는 주제를 선택하는 것이 상당히 중요하다. SL과 HL 모두 해야 한다.

이 네 부분이 IB 역사의 전체 평가를 이룬다. 밑에 표는 각 부분이 전체 채점에서 얼마의 비중을 차지하는지 적어논 것.
