1. 개요[편집]

JYJ의 첫 번째 정규 앨범이자 영어 앨범인 The Beginning의 세 번째 트랙이자 두 번째로 싱글컷된 곡이다. 이 앨범에서 가장 인기 있는 트랙으로 손꼽히며, 카니예 웨스트가 피처링한 타이틀 곡인 Ayyy Girl보다 훨씬 자주 무대에서 선보이며 사실상 타이틀 곡의 역할을 수행한 노래이기도 하다. 라이브에서 쓰이는 용도도 다양하다. 2014년 아시아 투어에서는 앵콜에서 관객 호응 용도로 쓰이기도 했다.

Ayyy Girl에서의 이별 분위기를 더 차분하게 가져갔다고 볼 수 있는데, 이 노래 가사도 사랑하는 여자가 너무나 냉정한 사람이라 결국 자신의 사랑도 식어버렸다는 내용이다. 제목 Empty는 가사에서 알 수 있듯이 여자의 심장이 텅 비었다는 뜻이다. 작곡은 로드니 저킨스가 했다.
