1. 개요[편집]
1989년 개봉한 디즈니 애니메이션 인어공주의 사운드트랙이다. 앨런 멩컨이 작곡, 하워드 애쉬먼이 작사하였고 세바스찬 역의 새뮤얼 E. 라이트가 노래를 불렀다.
작중에서 에리얼이 3일 안에 에릭과 키스하고 인간이 될 수 있도록 도와주기 위해 스커틀이 노래를 부르는데 하도 음치라서 되려 방해가 되자 세바스찬이 대신 나서서 에릭에게 에리얼과 키스하라고 속삭이며 늪 주변에 사는 청둥오리, 개구리, 사다새, 홍학, 반딧불이 등을 동원해서 부른 노래이다.[1]
후에 스커틀이 저 동물을 포함해 바다사자, 바닷가재 등 바다에 사는 동물까지 불러모아 우르슬라와 에릭 왕자의 결혼식을 방해한다.
1990년 골든 글로브와 아카데미 시상식에 주제가상 후보로 올랐으나 같은 작품의 Under the Sea에 밀려 모두 수상에 실패했다.
2008년 브로드웨이에서 초연된 뮤지컬 인어공주에 삽입되었으며 세바스찬 역의 타이터스 버지스와 스커틀의 역의 에디 코르비크, 에릭 역의 숀 파머가 노래를 불렀다.
곡의 화성적 진행이나 전반적 구조가 필 스펙터가 작곡한 Then He Kissed Me와 유사하다.
2017년 디즈니채널 TV 영화 디센던츠 2에서 엔딩 크레딧에 등장한다. 말, 이비, 카를로스, 제이, 우마, 해리 역을 맡은 도브 캐머런, 소피아 카슨, 캐머런 보이스, 부부 스튜어트, 차이나 매클레인, 토머스 도허티가 불렀다.
2023년 애니메이션 인어공주를 실사화한 영화 인어공주에 삽입되었으며 세바스찬 역의 다비드 디그스와 스커틀 역의 아콰피나, 플라운더역의 제이콥 트렘블레이가 노래를 불렀다.
