블루스 록과 가스펠이 혼합된 구성으로 거세게 진행하는 록 곡이며, 엘튼 존과 버니 토핀의 초기 곡들 가운데 대표적으로 꼽히는 경쾌한 곡이다. 가사는 상당히 난해한 내용을 담고 있는데 버니 토핀은 이 곡의 가사가 정확히 무엇에 대해 노래하는지 자신도 모른다고 밝혔다.[1]

1970년 10월 싱글로 발매된 Your Song 미국반 B면에 수록되었다.

Tour De Force 투어의 1986년 12월 14일 호주 시드니 공연에서 부른 라이브 음원이 1988년 1월 싱글로 발매되었다. 같은 공연에서 부른 Candle In The Wind가 싱글로 발매되어 빌보드 핫 100 5위, 영국 싱글 차트 6위에 오른 반면, 이 곡은 빌보드 어덜트 컨템퍼러리 37위에 오르는데 그쳤다.

더 후가 1991년에 Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting을 커버했을 때 이 곡을 메들리로 연결했다. 이 커버곡은 1991년 Two Rooms에 수록되었다.

엘튼 존이 특별 출연한 심슨 가족 시즌 10 에피소드 14에서 아푸가 이 곡과 "Someone Saved My Life Tonight", "The Bitch Is Back"으로 언어유희하여 엘튼 존을 화나게 만들었다.[2]

2016년 2월 5일, BBC의 토크쇼 그레이엄 노튼 쇼에서 잭 블랙이 엘튼 존 앞에서 이 곡을 음정모사를 했다. 엘튼 존은 잭 블랙 특유의 음정모사를 알아듣지 못해 어리둥절해하며 큰 웃음을 주었다.[3]

라이브에서는 1970년부터 꾸준히 불렀다.[5] 원곡은 4분 정도 되는 곡이지만, 라이브에서는 1993년부터 즉흥 피아노 연주를 덧붙이면서 짧게는 6분, 길게는 15분 정도 길게 늘려 연주했다. Honky Cat, Rocket Man, Bennie And The Jets 등과 함께 엘튼 존의 피아노 연주를 제대로 담은 곡으로 평가받는다.

1994년 공연들부터 선보인 C 블루스 중점을 둔 피아노 솔로 연주에 "Song For Guy"의 선율 일부를 추가하는 등 화려한 연주를 선보였는데, 2014년부터 2017년까지는 "Rocket Man"의 인트로로 대신 연주했다.[6]
