B-45 Tornado
전선을 따라 폭격합니다. 적 기지의 아무 건물이나 유닛을 터치하여 비행기를 배치하세요. 공격이 끝나면 재배치할 수 있습니다. B-45는 일반적인 폭격기보다 빠르고 비용이 적게 들며, 비행기 격납공간을 1만 차지합니다.
Makes a bombing run along a line. To deploy an aircraft, tap any building or unit in the enemy’s base. When they’ve finished their attack, they may be redeployed. B-45s are cheaper and faster than regular bombers, and require 1 air space instead of 2.

2차 세계대전 당시 독일군이 이룩한 제트 엔진 기술의 발전으로 미 공군 역시 제트 동력 폭격기를 개발해야 할 처지에 놓였습니다. 가장 먼저 개발된 것은 노스아메리칸사의 B-45 토네이도였습니다. 보잉사의 B-47 스트라토제트가 토네이도의 자리를 대신한 1951년 전까지 보잉 모델 제품은 생산 준비가 되어 있지 않았습니다.
1950년 한국 전쟁이 발발하자 1947년에 공식적으로 육군에서 분리된 미합중국 공군은 프로펠러 추진식 B-29 슈퍼포트리스 폭격기가 소련에서 제조한 MiG-15 제트 전투기를 상대할 수 없다는 사실을 빠르게 자각했습니다. 미군에게는 제트 폭격기가 필요했고 B-45가 그 답이었습니다. 엔진 문제와 이외 결함에도 불구하고, 토네이도는 폭격과 정찰 임무를 모두 효과적으로 수행했습니다. 토네이도는 공중 급유가 가능했던 첫 다중 제트 폭격기인 동시에, 미 공군 최초의 작전용 제트 폭격기이자 전술핵 폭격기로도 알려져 있습니다.
During World War II, German advancements in jet engine technology prompted the U.S. Army Air Forces to put out a request for jet-powered bombers. The first one to be developed was the North American Aviation B-45 Tornado. While it became clear that Boeing’s B-47 Stratojet would eventually supersede the Tornado, the Boeing model was not ready for production until 1951.
When the Korean War broke out in 1950, the U.S. Air Force (which officially split from the Army in 1947) quickly realized that the propeller-driven B-29 Superfortress bomber was no match for Soviet-built MiG-15 jet fighters. They needed a jet bomber now, and the B-45 fit the bill. Despite engine problems and other flaws, Tornados served effectively in both bombing and reconnaissance roles. The Tornado was notable as the first multi-jet bomber to be refueled in midair, as well as the USAF’s first operational jet bomber and its first atomic-capable tactical plane.
