1. 개요[편집]

We're gonna hang out the washing on the Siegfried Line

영국의 군가 중 하나로, 마이클 카Michael Carr 작곡에 왕립 포병대 대위 지미 케네디Jimmy Kennedy 작사다. 가짜 전쟁 시기에 발표된 이 곡은 독일군의 방어선인 지크프리트 선을 조롱하고 있는데, 말 그대로 빨래를 널러 갈 수 있을 정도로 허술하다고 까는 노래다.

물론 지크프리트 선은 만만한 방어선이 아니었고, 이후 이어진 프랑스 침공에서 영국과 프랑스군이 연패하였기에 독일군이 이 노래에 가사를 덧붙여 조롱하기까지 했다. 하지만 그럼에도 불구하고 이 노래의 인기는 식지 않았으며, 많은 음악가들의 편곡 버전이 존재한다.
