1. 개요[편집]

테마에 맞추어 음악 앨범 및 영화의 순위를 매기고 이를 보여주는 웹사이트. 테마를 무엇으로 할지는 만드는 유저의 자유이며 Top 40, Top 42, Top 100 등 작품의 갯수도 유저 재량으로 정할 수 있다. 위의 사이트에서 만들 수 있는 최대 갯수는 12x12(Top 144)이다.

2022년 5월 22일 곧 탑스터 사이트의 폐쇄가 진행된다는 공지가 올라오면서 해당 사이트는 곧 역사 속으로 사라질 것으로 추측된다. 폐쇄 며칠 전부터 사이트의 배경색이던 검은색이 회색으로 변경되었다. 이후 폐쇄가 취소되었다.

2. 사용법[편집]

검색창에 앨범 또는 영화의 이름이나 아티스트명을 검색한 뒤, 검색창 아래에 나온 사진들 중 원하는 것을 빈 칸에 드래그하여 칸을 채운다.[2]

한 칸을 삭제하고 싶다면, 검색창에 아무 것이나 검색한 뒤 맨 끝에 나오는 바둑무늬 사진을 삭제하고 싶은 칸에 끌어다놓으면 된다.

만약 검색에서 나오지 않는 사진이 있다면, 인터넷에서 사진을 찾은 후에 사진의 링크를 복사해서 넣으면 된다.[3] 이와 같은 방식으로 탑스터의 배경 사진 또한 링크를 넣어 수정할 수 있다.

On/Off로 앨범의 제목을 오른쪽에 배열하거나, 그 배열에 번호를 기입하는 기능도 있다.

3. 사이트 폐쇄?[편집]

2022년 5월 22일 기준으로 탑스터 사이트의 배너에 폐쇄 공지가 올라왔다.[4] 해당 내용은 다음과 같다.

I am shutting down Topsters 2 soon. Because I stole it from its rightful owners in Germany. I have to find them somehow. It is time for them or someone else in Germany to make Topsters 3.0. And 5G is incurring the wrath of the Power Behind the Bees. The Queen Bee is angry! Turn off the TV!!! Stop using 5G!!!

If you think you have autism, perhaps someone has stolen a part of your soul. You need to find that person, and try to make an exchange with them for it, so that everything is in its right place.

Everything spiritual is also physiological. The lowest is connected to the highest. The drinking fountains in my high school (Grant High School in Portland, Oregon) were filled with lead for a decade. And the superintendent, "Carole Smith" (if that is her real name) knew about it and let everyone drink poison water. So all the kids in Portland, Oregon have lead poisoning now. 포스트락 마이너 갤러리, 힙합엘이 등 음악 관련 커뮤니티에서 흔하게 볼 수 있다. 그러나, 대부분의 탑스터에서는 상위권 부분이 겹치는 경우가 많다. [6] 사실 '누구나 인정하는 명반'에 대한 순위는 롤링 스톤 선정 500대 명반[7] 등으로 전문적으로 만들어진 순위도 많기에 그러한 양산형 탑스터를 만드는 것은 별 의미가 없다.

애초에 탑스터에 정답이란건 없다. 어떻게 만들지는 결국 본인의 자유이기에, 남의 탑스터를 욕하거나, 눈치보면서 만드는 행위는 자제하도록 하자.
