밴드의 기타리스트였던
버나드 버틀러의 뒤를 이은 밴드의 새 기타리스트인 리차드 오크스가 작곡한 노래로 정규 3집인
Coming Up의 첫 싱글로 발매되었다.
영국 싱글차트 3위를 달성하며 "Stay Together"와 함께 Suede가 발표한 싱글들 중 가장 높은 순위를 차지했다. 음반 판매 또한 이전의 싱글들보다 더 많이 팔리며, 밴드의 제일 많이 팔린 싱글이 되었다.
노래에는 다양한 의미들이 주어져 있지만, 남들과 다르면서도 아무 문제 없는
아웃사이더를 메인 테마로 다루고 있다. 2009년 인터뷰에서
브렛 앤더슨은 "이 노래는 사랑 노래처럼 들리지만, 사실 이 곡은 밴드의 정체성과 밴드가 상징하는 것에 대한 노래에요"라 말했고, 2013년 인터뷰에서는 이 테마를 확장시키며 "이 노래는 어느 정도는 밴드에 있는 것에 대한 노래이고, 더 나아가서 팬들과 스웨이드인으로서의 정신을 담은 곡이에요" 라고 밝혔다. 또한 자신의 삶을
사운드트랙으로 묘사하며 "일상 속 연애를 믿는 것에 관한 것"이라 덧붙였다.
뮤직 비디오는 데이비드 물드가 제작했으며 Elstree Studios에서 촬영되었다.
