1. 개요[편집]

한국의 남성 아이돌 그룹 동방신기의 6번째 일본 정규 앨범 TIME의 7번 트랙. Fated와 더불어 앨범 전체에서 다크한 분위기를 담당하고 있는 곡이다.[1] Y3K는 "3000년"을 뜻하는 단어로, 이것은 이 곡이 앨범의 컨셉 중 미래를 담당하는 노래란 것을 내포하고 있다. 가사는 가식이나 허세 등 개인, 또 사회에서 만연하고 있는 부정적인 요소들에 대한 비판으로 이루어져 있다. 확실히 앨범의 분위기 자체가 전작 앨범인 TONE 때보다는 무거워지고 성숙해진 것이 느껴진다. 당장 B.U.T.의 가사만 보더라도 Y3K는 그 앨범 가운데에서도 가장 무거운 분위기를 지닌 곡으로, 실제로 앨범 전체 중에서 가장 SMP스러운 곡으로 뽑히고 있다. 앞서 언급된 Fated와 더불어 전체 앨범 중에서 팬들의 호불호가 가장 극명하게 갈리는 곡이다. 그래도 일본 전국 투어 때는 세트리스트에 꾸준히 포함되는 등, 일본 현지에서의 반응은 좋은 듯하다.


여담으로, 라이브 투어 때 영상미가 꽤나 화려하다.
