돌, 땅, 피와 뼈에서

빚어진 그들은
They knock the mountains down
산들을 무너뜨려
The earth’s grating sounds
지구의 고통스러워하는 소리들은
They soothe the great machines
위대한 기계들을 안심시키지
That yearn desperately
그 기계들을 간절하게
Just to lay down them
그녀의 그 거대한 입 속에
Within her gaping mouth
자신들을 내려놓고 싶어하네

뾰족한 왕관의 끝부분 같은 곳이지

Eating all reality

Producing only dust and sand
오직 먼지와 모래만을 창조하면서
Nothing hurts them
아무것도 그들을 다치게 하지 못해
Nothing gets under their stone skin
아무것도 그들의 암석같은 피부를 뚫어내지 못해
And when their earthen mouths will open up
그리고 그들의 대지처럼 갈라진 입들이 열리게 되면
And just what words will come out but
오직 이 말만 하겠지
”We wish we were dead”
”우리는 죽었으면 좋겠어”
