2024년부터 신설되는 서강대학교의 새로운 단과대학.
국제학부로서 국내 학생 정원은 소수인 대신 대규모 국제 학생들을 선발할 계획이다. 글로벌한국학부와 게페르트국제학부의 교양, 전공 수업은 모두 영어로 진행된다.
글로벌한국학부(Division of Global Korean Studies)와 게페르트국제학부(Geppert School of International Studies), 글로벌융합학부(Division of Global Interdisciplinary Studies)의 세 학부로 구성되어 있다. 특히 '글로벌융합학부'는 내국인 정원이 단 한 명도 없는 순수 국제 학생 학부가 될 예정이며, 이에 따라 국내 학생들의 복수전공도 불가하다.
한국과 세계를 연결하는 인재를 양성하는 글로벌한국학부는 글로벌한국학 전공과 한국어교육 전공으로 이루어져 있습니다. 글로벌한국학 전공은 세계와의 긴밀한 관계 속에서 성장하는 한국에 대한 지식을 초학제적으로 교육합니다. 한국어교육 전공은 학생들에게 고급 한국어 소통능력과 교육능력을 교육하여 외국인을 위한 한국어교육 전문가로 양성합니다. 글로벌한국학부 학생들은 한국에 대해 세계가 가진 지식을 습득하고 한국어 소통과 교육능력을 키움으로써 세계가 필요로 하는 한국에 대한 지식생산에 공헌하는 글로벌 커넥터로 성장합니다.
The Division of Global Korean Studies fosters talented individuals who connect Korea and the world. The Division consists of the Global Korean Studies major and the Korean Language Education major. The Global Korean Studies major provides students with knowledge of Korea that develops in close relationship with the world. The Korean Language Education major provides advanced Korean communication and teaching skills for students whose first language is not Korean and trains them to become experts in Korean language education for foreigners. Students in the Division of Global Korean Studies acquire knowledge about Korea from around the world and develop Korean communication and teaching skills to become global connectors who contribute to the production of knowledge about Korea that the world needs.}}} |

4.3. Asian Studies Track[편집]
Our Asian Studies Programme approaches Asia with an emphasis on gaining a broader understanding of the region by utilising knowledge and perspectives across a wide range of disciplines. Asia, now, is possibly the most dynamic area of the world economy. Countries in the region are ever more interconnected – not only through investment and trade, but also politically and culturally through global processes of diplomacy, migration, popular culture, and tourism. Our Asian Studies Programme therefore aims to provide a comprehensive learning experience that: 1) enables students to fully appreciate the interconnectedness within/of the region and beyond; 2) exposes students to diverse disciplinary approaches (including culture, geography, history, international development/cooperation, international relations, and politics). In addition to the subject-based modules, you will also be able to enrich your learning in/on Asia via our basic-level East Asian language courses or various Asia-related emersion and exchange programs. In order to create a stimulating learning environment for our students, we will hold various Asia-related events and special lectures/talks by both academics and practitioners.
