작중에서
심바를 만난
티몬과 품바가 벌레를 먹고사는 자신들의 생활 방식을 알려주며 세 인물 간의 우정이 시작되는 레게 풍의 경쾌한 곡이다. 노래가 완성된 뒤 티몬과 품바 역의
네이선 레인과 어니 사벨라, 심바 역의 제이슨 위버의 목소리로 녹음이 완료되었으나 제작 과정에서
Hakuna Matata로 대체되어 삭제되었다.

"Warthog Rhapsody"의 가사에는 품바를 'thick-skinned'라고 언급하고, "Hakuna Matata"의 가사에는 아무도 품바 옆에서 바람이 불어가는 쪽(downwind)에 있지 않으려 했다고 노래한 것과 같이 품바 주변에서는 바람이 불어오는 방향(upwind)에 서있어야 한다고 묘사하는 등 두 곡의 가사에 유사한 구절이 있다.
라이온 킹의 사운드트랙에 참여한 남아프리카 출신의 뮤지션 레보 엠이 작업한 앨범이자, 사운드트랙 작업 시기에 재녹음한 삽입곡들과 영화에 삽입되지 않은 곡들을 녹음한 《Rhythm of the Pride Lands》에 수록했다.
지미 클리프와 레보 엠이 부르고 1995년 싱글로 발매한 "Hakuna Matata"의 맥시 싱글에도 수록했다. 〈라이온 킹〉 20주년 기념으로 발매된 2014년 2CD 컴필레이션 앨범
