스토리는 2D 애니메이션인 전반부와 3D 애니메이션인 후반부로 나뉘는데, 2D로 그려진 전반부는 각 리그별로 월드 챔피언십 출전팀을 가리는 과정, 3D로 전개되는 후반부는 본격적인 월드 챔피언십의 혈투를 의미한다.

전반부에서 쇼메이커가 건물에 붙어있는 'LCK의 영원한 왕 페이커'라는 포스터를 올려다보며 각오를 다진 뒤[1][2] LCK 경기장으로 출발해 자신의 시그니처 챔피언인 신드라로 경쟁자들과 맞붙는다. 상대는 CK 시절부터 담원과 그리핀으로 라이벌이었던 오리아나가 주력인 쵸비. 쇼메이커와 쵸비 간 호각의 공방전은 앞으로 누가 제 2의 페이커인가 결정하는 과정을 묘사한다고 한다.인터뷰

쇼메이커와 쵸비의 치열한 전투 장면이 지나가는 동안 잠깐씩 장면이 전환되며 타 리그에서도 맞붙고 있는 선수들을 비춰준다.

그렇게 각 리그의 팀들이 치열하게 경쟁을 펼친 뒤 차원문을 통과하자 그래픽이 3D로 전환되며 본격적인 월드 챔피언십의 시작임을 알리고, 그렇게 월드 챔피언십에 참여한 팀들이 치열한 경쟁을 하는 전투씬을 보여주며 뮤직비디오가 끝난다.[3][4][5]

3. 반응[편집]

전반적인 반응은 국내 커뮤니티와 해외가 갈리는 편이다. 호평을 받는 부분은 메인 대립 포지션인 쇼메이커의 신드라 vs 쵸비의 오리아나 말고도 각 리그의 경쟁 구도를 상당히 잘 살려냈다는 특징이 돋보인다. 또한 작화와 영상미 자체는 2D 파트와 3D 파트 모두 역대급이라는 말이 나올 정도로 잘 뽑혔다는 의견이 많다. 그래서인지 애니메이션을 볼 때 스토리나 설정보다 작화, 액션을 더 중시하는 경향이 있는 영미권 쪽에서 긍정적인 의견이 많이 보이는 편.

그러나 쇼메이커와 쵸비, 재키러브와 레클레스 이 4명 정도를 제외하면 이외의 선수들은 너무 빠르게 지나가 쉽게 알아볼 수가 없어서 이러한 부분은 아쉽다는 의견도 많이 보인다. 업커머에서 뮤직비디오에 등장한 선수들 명단을 공개했는데 대다수가 "아니 이 선수가 나왔었어? 어느 장면에 나온 거지?" 하고 고개를 갸우뚱거렸을 정도. 게다가 메인 비중을 차지한 4명 중에 2명이나 월드 챔피언십에 오지도 못한 걸 지적하는 의견도 있는데, 2020년의 페이커도 월드 챔피언십 진출에 실패했지만 Take Over 뮤직비디오에서는 주인공이 우승으로 나아갈 수 있게 돕는 멘토 역할로 엄청난 비중을 차지하기도 했고, 무엇보다 월드 챔피언십이 시작하기 전에 발표해야 하는 시간적 여건 때문에 선발전이 끝날 시기가 되면 노래와 뮤직비디오 제작이 완성이 끝나기 직전인 상황이라 거기에 맞춰서 고치기도 힘들다. 2020 월드 챔피언십이 끝나고 뮤직비디오를 만들기 시작한 것을 생각하면 더더욱 맞추기가 불가능하다. 즉, 연출력 및 작화는 이견의 여지없이 뛰어나다고 평가받지만 너무 많은 등장인물로 인해 서사 및 메세지 전달 면에서는 아쉽다는 반응.

PVRIS가 부른 곡 자체에 대해서는 평가가 엇갈리는데, 전작인 Take Over보다 확실히 낫고 가사 등이 마음에 든다는 호평이 있는 반면 훅이나 곡 자체에 임팩트가 없어서 크게 와닿지 않는다는 혹평도 존재한다.

• 뮤직비디오 제작은 중국의 Haoliners가 담당했으며, LoL e스포츠 디렉터 캐리 던에 의하면 총 143개의 장면에 22명[6]
  뮤비 시작 부분에 잠시 광고판에 등장하는 페이커까지 포함하면 23명
  의 선수들을 2D와 3D로 묘사하여 제작하느라 3분 반 남짓한 뮤직비디오 치고는 드물게 엄청난 규모의 디자인과 애니메이션 작업이 들어갔다고 한다등장 선수 명단. 제작을 위해 라이엇측에서 각 지역별 사무국에 협조를 구하는 과정이 있었다고 한다.
• 이런 기나긴 작업기간 때문에 등장할 선수들은 6개월 전에 다 정해놨기 때문에 그 후에 일어난 팀들의 순위 변동은 반영하지 못했다고 한다. 월즈에 참여한 팀(젠지, T1 등)이 등장하지 않고 월즈에 참여하지도 못한 선수들이 뮤비에 나오는 것도 그러한 원인. 라이엇 비디오 프로듀서는 "여러분들이 "왜 이 선수는 없음?"에 대해 물어봐도 글쎄, 6개월 전에 모든 상황을 예상하기란 불가능하다" 라는 트윗을 남겼다.
