보노(U2)

아일랜드 록 밴드 U2가 1991년 발표한 앨범. 이 앨범은 전작들과 달리 전자음과 글램적인 요소[1]를 거리낌없이 받아들여 기존 U2 팬들을 충격에 빠트렸다. 하지만 브라이언 이노의 천재적인 프로듀싱과 그동안 다져져 왔던 멤버들의 실력들이 결합해 The Joshua Tree와 함께 U2의 양대 명반으로 꼽힌다. 이 앨범을 기점으로 U2는 Zooropa, Pop으로 이어지는 실험적 음악 제작에 집중하게 된다.

보노는 후일 "우리가 만든 앨범 중 가장 정치적인 앨범이라 생각한다"라고 밝혔다. 이 앨범의 프로듀서는 대니얼 라느와, 스티브 릴리화이트, 브라이언 이노가 참가하였다.

록 역사상 최고의 명반 중 하나인 The Joshua Tree와 거의 동급 으로 평가받는 앨범인 만큼 평단과 대중 양쪽에서 뜨거운 지지를 받았으며, 현대에 와서는 얼터너티브 록이라는 영역을 대표하는 대작으로 손꼽히고 있다. 메타크리틱에서 93점을 받았고 롤링 스톤 선정 500대 명반에서 124위에 랭크되고 90년대 최고 명반에서 4위에 랭크되었으며, 그 외의 다른 유명 잡지 리스트에서도 올타임 베스트 음반들 중 하나로 자주 거론된다.

일렉트로니카, 사이버펑크, 글램 록, 미니멀리즘, 싸이키델릭, 인더스트리얼, 펑크 등이 혼재된 독특한 성질의 앨범으로 전체적으로는 얼터너티브 록을 표방한다. 글램 록 적인 요소로 보노가 The Fly, Mirror Ball Man, Mr. MacPhisto 다양한 페르소나를 무대에서 보여준다.[2]

원래 제목이 68 And I'll Owe you one라고 될 뻔했다고 한다.~~오마이갓(...)~~ 올드밴드가 계속 목숨을 이어가기 위해서 어떻게 해야 하는가라는것을 보여준 앨범이다. Achtung은 영어로는 attention으로, 독일어로 주의, 조심, '차렷'(차렷 열중쉬어 할 때의)라는 뜻.

결국 밴드는 아흐퉁 베이비 앨범을 기준으로 삼아서 명반의 반열에 드는 All That You Can't Leave Behind를 발매했고, 그 이후 앨범(How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb,No Line on the Horizon)도 거의 이 앨범의 사운드를 기준으로 만들었다.
